Kejriwal alleges judges' phones being tapped, govt denies charges
Speaking at an event in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, Kejriwal alleged that government is interfering with the appointment of the judges.
"I heard judges conversing among themselves that their phones are being tapped and they are afraid to talk. This is wrong and must not be allowed," Kejriwal said.
He was rebutted in the same platform by Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
In his reply, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "I wish to deny with all the authority at my command that phones of judges have been tapped in India at all. I want to make it very clear."
This comes after the Supreme Court on Friday asked the government to avoid any delays in the appointment of the judges.
