Kashmir teenage protester killed in pellet firing by forces

Srinagar, Aug 14 (IBNS) A teenager in south Kashmir died on Sunday after he was hit by pellets fired by the security forces to disperse protesters, said police.

The incident occurred during a protest in Kakapora area of Pulwama district.

According to sources, Owais Ahmad Dar was critically injured after forces fired pellets on the protesters in Kakapora.

He was shifted to a hospital  from where he was referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.

However, doctors at SMHS hospital declared him dead on arrival.
