Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistan's ceasefire violation kills BSF soldier in Arnia sector

Srinagar, Sep 15 (IBNS): A Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was killed in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Arnia sector of Jammu district in Jammu and Kashmir state on Friday, media reports said.

The exchanges of firing between the Indian soldiers and the Pakistan terrorists continued till Friday morning.

BSF jawan, Brijendra Bahadur Singh, was hit by a bullet at his abdomen, who later succumbed during evacuation process.

The jawan was from Balia district of Uttar Pradesh.

BSF Jammu Frontier DIG Dharmender Pareekh was quoted by Hindustan Times: "At about 0020 hrs 12.20 am constable Brijendra Bahadur Singj, who was on duty at forward point along the fence, was fired upon from Pakiatani side and sustained a bullet injury.”
