IT officials recover Rs. 2.25 cr in new notes from Bengaluru flat resided by elderly woman, 2 dogs
Bengaluru, Dec 14 (IBNS): Income tax officials on Wednesday recovered nearly Rs. three crores in new notes from a Bengaluru apartment occupied by an elderly woman and her two dogs.
Some of the officials attempted to search the apartment on Tuesday itself but the woman refused to chain the dogs which were reported to be "ferocious."
The officials could gain access into the apartment on Wednesday with the help of neighbours.
They recovered Rs.2.25 crore in cash and all in new 2,000-notes from that room.
