Irani wishes good luck to successor Javadkar, says she is eager to work in new capacity
New Delhi, Jul 6 (IBNS) Removed from the high profile HRD Ministry in Monday's mega cabinet rejig, Smriti Irani on Wednesday conveyed best wishes to her successor Prakash Javadkar, saying she was looking forward to working in her new capacity as Textile Minister and strengthening the sector.
Taking to twitter, Irani said she had wished good luck to Javadkar, who had met her in the morning. Irani also updated her profile to reflect that she is no more the HRD Minister.
"Extended best wishes to @PrakashJavdekar ji who assured that he will build upon the initiatives undertaken by @HRDMinistry in last 2 years," she tweeted.
Irani also tweeted that in her two-year tenure, "all initiatives of the HRD ministry have been towards increasing learning outcomes for students and improving quality of education".
She thanked the Prime Minister and officials in the ministry for their "support in realizing the PM's vision of ensuring quality education for all".
She hinted that she is eager to start working with the new responsibility for betterment of the textile sector.
"Look forward to working with officials at @TexMinIndia for strengthening the very important Textile & Apparel Sector of our country," Irani said.
