Independence Day police medals announced

New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS): About 948 personnel have been awarded Police Medals on the occasion of the Independence Day this year.

President’s Police Medal for Gallantry have been awarded to 7 personnel and Police Medal for Gallantry have been conferred on to 170 personnel.

President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to 88 personnel and Police Medal for Meritorious Service to 683 personnel.
 
"19 personnel on the occasion of Independence Day, 2016 have also been awarded including President’s Correctional Service Medal for Distinguished Service to 02 personnel and Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service to 17 personnel," a PIB statement said.
