‘I have no enmity with anyone’: Tiger Shroff in deep shock after Mumbai firing

Actor Tiger Shroff is still in deep shock following the firing attack on his car in Mumbai's Juhu area on October 18, sources told NDTV.

The 36-year-old actor reportedly told Mumbai Police that he had no enmity with anyone and questioned why he was targeted in what investigators suspect was an assassination attempt.

“I am in deep shock. I do not wish to say anything right now. Who would want to carry out such a life-threatening attack on me, and why,” Shroff reportedly told a team of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch that visited his residence to record his statement.

“I have no enmity with anyone... so why was I attacked,” he said, according to sources.

Shroff has not yet been able to recover from the incident and has not recorded his formal statement with the police, sources added.

Five to six rounds fired at actor's BMW

The attack took place around 7 pm on October 18, when Shroff was returning after playing football.

He was seated in the front passenger seat of his BMW when two men allegedly opened fire, shooting at least five to six rounds before fleeing on a motorcycle.

The actor escaped unhurt, but his driver, Firdous Baloch, and a vlogger, Umesh Chauhan, sustained injuries. Police have recorded the statements of both men.

Videos that surfaced after the incident showed the assailants firing at the vehicle. Shroff was later seen getting out of the car and driving it to take his injured driver to the hospital.

Shooters arrested in Rajasthan, weapons recovered

The two alleged shooters have been identified as Phool Singh, 18, and Rehan Rahisuddin Ansari, 18, both from Haryana. They allegedly joined a third accused, Hritik Kumar alias Roshan, 22, from Bihar, before fleeing on a motorcycle.

The motorcycle suspected to have been used in the attack was later found abandoned in Andheri.

The three accused allegedly travelled to Surat in Gujarat and boarded a Jaipur-bound train. They were arrested in Rajasthan's Kota the following day.

According to investigators, their original plan was to travel to Delhi by bus before escaping to Nepal.

Turkish pistol jammed during attack

Investigators have also uncovered details about the firearms allegedly used in the shooting.

A Turkish-made Zigana pistol, reportedly used by Rehan, is said to have jammed during the attack, causing two live cartridges to fall out without being fired.

Phool Singh allegedly fired shots using a country-made pistol, commonly known as a desi katta.

On Friday, the Mumbai Crime Branch recovered two firearms allegedly used in the shooting, along with 10 live cartridges, during a raid at a hideout in Surat. The weapons have been sent for forensic examination.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang link under probe

Investigators suspect that the attack was orchestrated by Anil Pandit, an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who has reportedly claimed responsibility for the firing. Police are also examining the role of other accused who allegedly provided logistical and operational support.

According to the investigation, the shooters initially planned to travel by bus from Surat to Delhi and then cross into Nepal.

However, they missed their bus, prompting the alleged mastermind to activate an alternative escape plan.

The accused allegedly received fresh instructions through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls routed through another arrested accused, Ankit Khatak.

They then travelled by auto-rickshaw to Surat railway station and boarded the Pune-Jaipur Express at around 1:33 am.

Before boarding the train, they allegedly hid the firearms and ammunition in an open area near the Surat bus stand, fearing police checks.

Their plan was reportedly to get off before reaching Jaipur's main railway station, arrange road transport to Delhi and then attempt to cross into Nepal.

The Mumbai Crime Branch reportedly tracked their movements using CCTV footage from the Surat bus stand and railway station.

11 arrested in Tiger Shroff shooting case

The number of arrests in the case has risen to 11 after Mumbai Police's Crime Branch arrested Pranjal Thakran, 22, in Indore on Saturday in a joint operation with local police.

Thakran, originally from Sonipat in Haryana, had reportedly travelled to Indore five days earlier for the treatment of his paralysed brother.

Police suspect that he provided financial, logistical or operational assistance to the alleged shooters and other conspirators. Investigators are continuing to examine the suspected roles of those arrested and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
