Hyderabad student commits suicide during video chat with boyfriend

Hyderabad, Feb 19 (IBNS): A 24-year-old management student allegedly committed suicide at the college hostel in Hyderabad's Kompally, while having video chat with her boyfriend.

The woman has been identified as Haneesha Chowdhary, who is a second year MBA student of Siva Sivani Institute of Management, Kompally.

She committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her hostel room during a video call with her alleged boyfriend around 1.20 a.m. on Saturday.

According to reports, she ended her life as she felt that her ‘boyfriend’ suspected her fidelity.

As Haneesha took the extreme step, her boyfriend, Dakshesh Patil, alerted her friends in the hostel. However, they failed to break open the door.

Dakshesh then rushed to her hostel and broke the door of Haneesha's room with the help of the warden.

They rushed her to a nearby private hospital however, she was declared brought dead, said reports.

The college management alerted the police and the woman’s parents were informed

The woman’s father, Buggaiah Chowdhary, has lodged a complaint with the police.
