Goa court to frame charges against Tarun Tejpal

Panaji, Sep 28 (IBNS) : A Goa court will on Thursday frame charges against Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal, who was accused of sexually assaulting a junior colleague almost four years ago.

According to reports, the  Mapusa court on September  seven  refused to drop charges against Tejpal.

Once the charges are framed, the journalist  is likely to be tried for rape, sexual harassment, assault and wrongful restraint.

The Tehelka founder was accused by a woman colleague of sexually assaulting her in an elevator of a five-star hotel during the magazine’s THiNK 2013 festival in Goa in November , 2013.

The allegation triggered an outcry and  forced Tejpal to quit. He also had to tender  an unconditional apology for his "misconduct."
