The doors of the temple were opened at 9:01 am on Monday in the presence of Sagar MLA Bankim Chandra Hajra, Gangasagar Coastal Police Officer-in-Charge Debashish Roy and Nimai Maharaj of Bharat Sebashram Sangha.

But before that the area around the temple premises was sanitized and then the door of the temple opened with the blowing of the conch.

According to the temple authorities every pilgrim must wear a face mask and worshippers will not be allowed to gather inside the temple.
