Fourth fodder scam case verdict to be pronounced today

Ranchi, Mar 19 (IBNS): The verdict of the fourth fodder scam case, in which former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad is accused, will be pronounced by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Monday, media reports said.

In the case, Lalu has been accused of withdrawing Rs. 3 13 crores fraudulently from Dumka treasury, which is now in Jharkhand, during his tenure as the Bihar CM.

Along with Lalu, former Bihar CM Jagannath Misra and several others are also accused in the case.

The hearing of the case was completed on Mar 5.

Lalu has already been convicted in three fodder scam cases and he is presently in the Birsa Munda prison.

He is serving a jail term of 13.5 years.
