Former MP Governor Ramnaresh Yadav passes away

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IBNS): Former Madhya Pradesh governor, Ram Naresh Yadav, passed away on Tuesday at a Lucknow hospital, the media reported.

Yadav was governor of MP from from Aug 26, 2011 to Sep 7, 2016.

He was suffering from prolonged illness.

Yadav, a veteran Congress leader, was the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1977-79.

Leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed their condolences on the demise of Yadav.

PMO India tweeted, "The Prime Minister has condoled the passing away of former UP CM & MP Governor, Shri Ram Naresh Yadav."

MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted, "Deeply saddended by the demise of MP's Ex. Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav. My heartfelt condolences to the family and his supporters."

Kalraj Mishra, Union minister for MSME, tweeted, " Learned about demise of Ram Naresh Yadav ji,former CM of UP & Ex Governor of MP. May his soul rest in peace & condolences to bereaved family."
