"He said Hon’ble Prime Minister need not answer queries related to linking Lalit Modi issue with Vyapam case. He in fact had stated that Vyapam case is a matter of serious concern, which was not shown on TV Channels," it said.
"He once again reiterates he did not refer to Vyapam case as a simple issue," read the statement.Two days after he flatly refused to invite a CBI investigation into the Vyapam scam, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday buckled under mounting pressure to ask the High Court for a probe by the central agency.
"I request High Court to handover the probe to CBI...With a CBI probe, everything will be crystal clear in the case," he told a press conference.
" The government should be above suspicion. We need to answer if any questions are raised," Chouhan said.
