Kolkata, Nov 21 (IBNS): Hitting out the BJP-led NDA government in Centre over demonetisation issue, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Monday announced to hold rallies in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab against Narendra Modi's decision of scrapping 500/1000 rupees notes.

During a press conference here at state's main administrative building at Nabanna in Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee said, "Protesting against the autocratic decision of Modi-government to demonetize 500/1000 Rs notes, we are going to hold a march on Wednesday here in Kolkata and rallies will be held everywhere across the state on Thursday."

"To fight against the decision, I will hold rally in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on Nov 29, in Bihar on Dec 1 or 2 and in Punjab thereafter," Banerjee added.

Mamata Banerjee appealed to general people and other political parties, agitating over the same issue, to join TMC's rallies.

Chief Minister said that she would be going to Delhi on Tuesday evening again to agitate.

Earlier, Mamata Banerjee demonstrated over demonetisation in the national capital with Arvind Kejriwal and complained to the President of India- Pranab Mukherjee- with Shiv Sena leadership.
