Delhi Police bust Pakistan's ISI-linked arms smuggling network, four nabbed

Four suspects — identified as Ajay, Mandeep, Dalvinder and Rohan — were arrested for allegedly trafficking foreign-made firearms across several states. Police recovered 10 semi-automatic pistols and 92 live cartridges during the operation, according to details quoted by Moneycontrol.

The crackdown, led by DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, found that the group allegedly used drones to transport weapons from Pakistan into India. The firearms were reportedly dropped in Punjab before being moved to Delhi for distribution to criminal groups.

Describing the method as “sophisticated and alarming,” Yadav said the syndicate had established a supply chain reaching multiple regions.

Joint CP Surender Kumar told reporters that the first arrest was made on November 19 in Delhi’s Rohini area following intelligence about an incoming weapons delivery. Interrogation of Mandeep, who was allegedly in contact with a handler in Pakistan, led to the arrests of Rohan and Ajay. Two additional pistols were recovered from the pair.

Police said Rohan is linked to the Jitender Gogi gang, while the network has previously supplied weapons to the Bambiha gang and other active criminal groups.

Investigators believe US-based operative Jamseet Jassa is a key figure overseeing the syndicate, according to the report.

According to reports, police recovered four 10 semi-automatic pistols, including the Turkey-made PX-5.7, used primarily by special forces, along with 92 live cartridges, from the group.

China-made PX-3 pistols were also reportedly seized by them.
