Lucknow, Oct 4 (IBNS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to his parliamentary constituency, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday, media reports said.

This is the first time Gandhi is visiting Amethi after the Congress, in an alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP), suffered a crushing defeat in Uttar Pradesh assembly election, early in 2017.

Incidentally, on Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is taking part in the Jana Raksha Yatra in Kerala,

The Congress vice president was on a three-day visit to Gujarat last week.
