Centre to begin sustained dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir: Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Oct 23 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said the Centre has decided to start a sustained dialogue in J&K.

"The government to begin sustained dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir," he said.

Singh said Former IB Director Dineshwar Sharma to be appointed as Government's representative for the dialogue on the issue of Kashmir.

"Former IB Director Dineshwar Sharma will be Government of India's representative on the issue," he said.

Speaking further on Sharma's role, the Minister said: "Dineshwar Sharma will initiate a sustained interaction and dialogue to understand legitimate aspirations of people in J&K."

He said Sharma will be free to interact with all sections of society, especially youth and understand their aspirations.
