Canada PM Trudeau reaches Amritsar, will meet Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh

Amritsar, Feb 21 (IBNS): Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau along with his family and ministers reached Amritsar on Wednesday, media reports said.

He was welcomed by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Trudeau is scheduled to pay a visit to the Golden Temple and will also attend langar, the community kitchen of the temple.

During his stay in Amritsar, Trudeau will also meet Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh.

Trudeau, who is on a week-long visit to the country, will stay in India till February 23.

He is yet to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
