Bus mows down woman in Kolkata

Kolkata, Nov 12 (IBNS): A middle- aged woman was killed when a speeding public bus ran her over in Kolkata's Ultadanga area on Saturday morning, reports said.

According to reports, when the woman-Soniya Basu- was crossing road at Hudco More area, a Garia to Dankuni bound bus mowed her down at around 9:30 am.

When the around 40-year-old woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, she was declared brought dead.

Police have seized the killer bus and detained its driver.
