Poonch, Jul 18 (IBNS) Continuing cross-border attacks Pakistan again violated ceasefire for the second time in the last 12 hours in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said the  firing began from the Pakistani side at around 1.40 pm on Saturday afternoon and is still underway.

Pakistan had fired on Indian posts late on Friday night in the Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir engaging Indian troops in a prolonged exchange of fire.

The Pakistani had violated ceasefire also on Thursday and Wednesday by  targeting several Indian positions in Naushera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A woman was killed and six others, including two BSF jawans, were injured on July 15 in firing and mortar shelling in Jammu district by Pakistan Rangers.

On the other hand, Pakistan claimed that their troops had shot down an "Indian spy drone" in their region.

Pakistan also claimed that four of the country's civilians were killed in Indian shelling across the border.

On Friday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj discussed the border situation at a high level meeting.
