BJP is not anti-women: Sushma Swaraj slams oppositions

Ahmedabad, Oct 14 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday gave a strong reply to the opposition over calling the BJP an “anti-women party” and said there are six women cabinet ministers in the current Central government.

She made the remark at a ‘Mahila Town Hall’ in Ahmedabad.

"There are six women cabinet ministers in Modi ji's government," she said.

"Rivals call the Bharatiya Janata Party an anti-women party. On the other hand, the party  gave four women Chief Ministers and four women Governors as well," she said slamming the opposition.

She said the BJP as a party believes in women empowerment.

Swaraj said her BJP is is far ahead of other parties in case of political empowerment of women.
