Kolkata, Sept 12 (IBNS): BJP President Amit Shah, who is currently in Kolkata, said the BJP-led NDA government is 'transparent' and it has saved 59 thousand crore public money with the help of direct benefit transfer scheme.

"Bharatiya Janata Party has given a transparent government to the nation," Shah said.

He said: "Modi government saved 59 thousand crore public money with the help of direct benefit transfer scheme."

Appreciating the contribution of the government, the BJP leader said: "Today the whole world believes that India can surpass any limit in its defence."

Attacking the TMC and earlier CPI-M government of the state, Shah said West Bengal is still fighting to maintain its lost glory.

Shah is currently visiting West Bengal.
