Bihar dismisses four doctors for absenteeism

Patna, Dec 9 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): The state government in Bihar has dismissed four doctors from service for remaining absent from duty without prior information.

The order for their dismissal was issued by the health department on Thursday.


The doctors fired from thier job include Dr Sunil Kumar Singh (Posted at Primary Health Centre, Munger), Dr Lila Sinha (PHC, Goh, Aurangabad), Dr Uday Kumar, (PHC, Neemchak-Bathani, Gaya) and Dr Navin Kumar (PHC, Barachatti, Gaya).

Apart from them, the health department has also deducted salary and held increment of 13 other doctors on charges of absenteeism.

Reports said the department concerned had served notices on a total of 21 doctors found absent from duty. Of them, only seven had given satisfactory replies.
