Arun Jaitley files nomination for RS poll

New Delhi, Mar 12 (IBNS): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday filed nomination for Rajya Sabha elections.

He filed the nomination papers for the election of the Upper House of the Parliament from Uttar Pradesh.

Sharing images of his nomination filing, Jaitley tweeted: " Filed nomination papers for Rajya Sabha elections in Lucknow, March 12, 2018."

BJP has named Ashok Bajpai, Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, Sakal Deep Rajbhar, Kanta Kardam, Anil Jain, Harnath Singh Yadav and GVL Narasimha Rao as their Rajya Sabha candidates from Uttar Pradesh.

Today was the last day for filing nominations for the Rajya Sabha polls.

Voting is likely to be held on Mar 23.
