Another ISIS flag with message 'Join in ISIS' found in Assam

Guwahati, May 4 (IBNS) : After six 'IS NE' flags being hoisted by unknown miscreants in Assam’s Goalpara district, another ISIS flag has been found in Lower Assam’s Nalbari district, according to reports.

The ISIS flag with the message 'Join in ISIS' was seen attached to a tree at Koihati area in the Lower Assam district on Thursday.

When local people noticed the ISIS flag, they immediately informed police took it down.

Two days ago, six 'IS NE' flags were found at Goalpara town near a police station.

The local people, who were out for morning walk on the river bank, had found the black colour flags with ‘IS NE’ written on them in what people believed to be Arabic script. IS NE might be a short form for Islamic State North East.

The two incidents of ISIS flags appearing in the past two days in Lower Assam have raised serious concerns amid the local people who fear that the Islamic terror group may be trying to create a base in Assam.

Meanwhile, Assam police has started investigation into the matter.

No person has been arrested so far.
