Afghanistan explosion injures four Romanian soldiers

Kabul, Sept 26 (IBNS): In an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion, at lesat four Romanian soldiers were injured in Afghanistan, media reports said on Monday.

The White Shark Force Protection Battalion soldiers were wounded on Sunday morning when they were patrolling an area in Kandahar province,the Defence Ministry in Bucharest said in a statement as reported by Pajhwok Afghan News.

The soldiers were evacuated and taken to military hospital at the Kandahar Air Base for treatment.

Identified as Sub-Lieutenant Florin Oprea, Private Eduard-Vlad Romila, Corporal Marcel Neagu and NCO Costica-Victor Tarnovschi, the soldiers are currently under medical supervision in stable condition, the news agency reported.
