New Delhi/United Nations, Jul 23 (IBNS): Aghan envoy to the United Nations said that Pakistan-based terror groups target India's interests in Afghanistan, according to media reports.

Permanent Afghan representative to the UN, Mahmoud Saikal,  was speaking at an open briefing of the Counter- Terrorism Committee on foreign terrorists on Friday.

He said that Pakistan-based terror groups such as LeT, the Taliban, JeM and al-Qaeda are creating sanctuaries and safe havens in tribal areas between Kabul and Islamabad, media reported.

The Afghan envoy said that some of the objectives of these terror groups include revival of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, target India's interests and goals in Afghanistan and form strategic alliances with international terrorist networks in the region and world, the Times of India reported.
