AAP MP Bhagwant Mann barred from attending LS till Dec 9

New Delhi, Dec 2 (IBNS) : Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahjan on Friday informed the House that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Bhagwat Mann has been barred from attending the proceedings till December 9 for breaching Parliament security.

Mann was being probed by a nine member Lok Sabha committee for posting a video footage of the Parliament on a social media site.

Mahajan had set up a panel on July 25 to probe the alleged breach of Parliament security by the AAP leader.

The Sangrur MP had in July triggered a controversy in July by live-streaming the security arrangements at  Parliament House complex on social media.

The nine-member committee, headed by BJP MP Kirti Somaiya, had found him guilty of compromising security and termed it a ‘serious breach of security' of Parliament.
