Tech major Sony India has announced the launch of a new Sandstone colour variant of its flagship wireless noise-cancelling headphones, the WH-1000XM6.

The award-winning WH-1000XM6 series continues to set benchmarks in premium audio and personal listening experiences. Building on this legacy, the new Sandstone variant combines industry-leading noise cancellation with a sleek, sophisticated design, catering to music lovers, travellers, professionals, and style-conscious users alike.

The new finish introduces a fresh, contemporary aesthetic to the iconic lineup, enhancing both style and performance.

Designed to deliver music as it was originally intended, the WH-1000XM6 has been developed in collaboration with world-renowned mastering engineers from leading recording studios, including Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, and Coast Mastering. This collaboration ensures studio-level accuracy, allowing every note to be heard with exceptional clarity and precision.

Engineered for superior performance, the headphones feature a specially designed driver unit that delivers highly detailed sound reproduction, bringing out even the most subtle elements in music.

Next-Generation Noise Cancellation

Powered by an advanced processor and adaptive microphone system, the WH-1000XM6 optimises noise cancellation in real time, ensuring an uninterrupted and immersive listening experience. The HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 operates at speeds seven times faster than its predecessor and fine-tunes 12 microphones—1.5 times more than the WH-1000XM5—for significantly improved noise suppression and sound quality.

The precisely positioned microphones allow the system to adapt dynamically to the user’s environment, whether during a busy commute or in a focused work setting, delivering consistently seamless audio performance.

In addition, the WH-1000XM6 features Sony’s most advanced noise cancellation technology, powered by next-generation processing and intelligent algorithms that minimise distractions before they reach the listener. Co-created with mastering engineers, the headphones also deliver studio-grade sound precision, while 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema enhances the experience with immersive, theatre-like audio.

Designed for everyday convenience, the WH-1000XM6 ensures ultra-clear call quality, making voice communication sharp and reliable across environments.

The WH-1000XM6 Sandstone variant will be available from June 4 across select Sony Centres, Amazon, Croma, Reliance outlets, and the official Sony ShopatSC portal.
