Elon Musk will only use his X platform for audio calls and texts

Tech mogul and businessman Elon Musk on Friday announced he will discontinue using his regular phone number.

He said he will be using X for video, audio calls, and even messages.

He wrote on X: "In a few months, I will discontinue my phone number and only use X for texts and audio/video calls."

Musk bought Twitter in 2022 and then renamed it X in 2023.

As per X website, all users can receive calls.

However, only premium subscribers can use the audio and video calls feature.

Speaking on call privacy, the website said, "Enhanced call privacy is a new setting on X that helps protect your privacy. With this setting enabled, your IP address will be hidden from people you call and receive calls from."
