Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Tuesday declined by four paise to settle at 73.31 against the USD on rising demand for the greenback by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

In opening trade, the domestic unit rose by eight paise to 73.19, during the day, it erased earlier gains and finished negative at 73.31, easing by four paise as compared to its previous close.

The local unit registered day's high and low at 73.35 and 73.18 respectively.

The Rupee was seen weak owing to firm dollar against other world currencies amid positive equity market, the dealers added.
