Indian Market bounces back, Sensex moves up by 316 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday smartly recovered by 316 pts to open at 48,569.12 as fresh buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty too rose by 108 pts to 14,604.15.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 48,620.51 and 48,362.16 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,608.20 and 14,533.60 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.79 pc and Small Cap by 0.80 pc.

In 30 scrips 22 advanced while 8 declined.

The gainers were ONGC by 2.74 pc to Rs 112.65, IndusInd Bank by 1.54 pc to Rs 924.20, NTPC by 1.35 pc to Rs 105.20, Titan by 1.09 pc to Rs 1419.15 and SBI by 1 pc to Rs 355.10.

The losers were HDFC by 0.48 pc to Rs 2365.95, Hind Unilever by 0.36 pc to Rs 2400, Bajaj Auto by 0.28 pc to Rs 3818.70, Nestle India by 0.12 pc to Rs 16,518.75 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.11 pc to Rs 6501.
