Tashkent to host an International conference attracting over 100 top experts

Tashkent , Feb 13 (IBNS): On February 19-20, Tashkent will host an international conference titled “Interconnectedness in Central Asia: Challenges and New Opportunities”, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov told during a briefing.

It is expected that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will deliver a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the conference.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

Among expected participants are more than 100 leading experts from analytical centers from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Egypt, Israel, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, France, Sweden, Japan, who will discuss the current state of regional cooperation and deepening cooperation in security, trade, transport, water use, education and science.

At the event, the following regional institutions will also be represented –European Union, Nordic Council, Organization of American States, Arctic Advisory Board, as well as international financial institutions – World Bank, WTO, European Investment Bank and others.
