Meet Bangladesh’s ‘Donald Trump’ buffalo: This 700-kg pink giant is going viral

A pink-coloured, 700-kilogram albino buffalo nicknamed “Donald Trump” has become an unlikely attraction at an ongoing Eid al-Adha cattle market in Bangladesh, drawing crowds of curious visitors eager to snap selfies with the animal.

The buffalo has turned into an unexpected celebrity because of the golden-coloured tuft of hair on its head, prompting many to jokingly compare it to the former US president.

According to reports by The Business Standard, visitors have been flocking to see the rare animal, taking photographs and cautiously touching the calm and gentle buffalo.

The buffalo is currently being reared at Rabeya Agro Farm in the Paikpara area of Narayanganj.

Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha said he purchased the buffalo around 10 months ago from a cattle market in Rajshahi.

“My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head,” he told the newspaper.

Describing the animal’s temperament, Mridha said, “It is very calm in nature. Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked.”

He added that the buffalo has already been sold and will be handed over to its new owner next week.

A local resident said he visited the farm after watching videos of the buffalo on Facebook.

“It really does look like Trump. Its face and hair resemble him closely,” he told the newspaper.

Another visitor, identified as Mim, admitted she initially thought the comparison was exaggerated.

“But after seeing it in person, it actually looks like Trump. The name suits it well,” she told the Bangladeshi newspaper.
