China hotel fire leaves 19 dead

Harbin, Aug 25 (IBNS): A fire, which broke out at a hotel in China's  Harbin city on Saturday left at least 19 people dead, media reports said.

The deadly fire started at 4:36 a.m. Saturday at Beilong Hot Spring Leisure Hotel in Songbei District, reported China's Xinhua news agency.

Fire fighter evacuated 80 people from the building.

They also rescued 20 others trapped in it.

The cause of the fire and identity of the victims is being investigated, reported Xinhua quoting the local government. 

More than 100 fire fighters and 30 fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control  7:50 a.m.
