Gurgaon, Nov 6 (IBNS/NITN) : SpiceJet, the country's favourite low-cost carrier, now connects Bengaluru to Bangkok after the introduction of the new international flight from Chennai to Bangkok. Scheduled to start from Dec 10, flights will operate six days a week from Chennai.

An introductory all-inclusive return fare of Rs 9,999/- is available on Chennai-Bangkok-Chennai on limited seats on first-come-first-served basis.

Shilpa Bhatia, Sr. VP and Head of Sales and Distribution, SpiceJet, said, “The second phase of growth is expected to come from the Tier-II and Tier-III cities. The non-metro airports currently accounting for only 30 per cent of the total air traffic, represents a vast untapped market that we intend to explore. Boosting regional connectivity has always been a part of our core agenda and with South India fast emerging as a growth hub we are now targeting markets through Chennai while taping more international destinations.”
