Star Alliance Paris lounge wins world’s best airline alliance lounge title again

The latest accolade continues a decade-long track record of being the world’s best for Star Alliance lounges across the global travel industry, reflecting the Alliance’s continued focus on elevating customer journeys and its commitment to making multi-airline travel more effortless. The 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards also saw Air India, a Star Alliance member airline, recognised as ‘Best Airline in India’ and ‘Best Airline Staff in India & South Asia’, while also receiving Skytrax 4-Star Airline certification for Business Class and Economy Class.

The award was presented at a ceremony at The Langham Hotel in London, bringing together airline leaders and senior representatives from across the global aviation industry.

We want every touchpoint to feel intuitive, welcoming and connected, helping bring greater harmony to the multi-airline experience.”

Located in Terminal 1 at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the 1,300-square-metre Star Alliance lounge opened in October 2023. The lounge combines contemporary design with distinctive French touches, offering travellers a range of spaces to relax, work and dine before their flight. Among its signature features are a dedicated welcome bar, an immersive wine section inspired by France’s rich wine culture and views across the airport’s runway.

The Star Alliance Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport also ranked second in the World’s Best Airline Alliance Lounge category, further recognising the strength of Star Alliance’s lounge experience across its network.

Known as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” the Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on an independent international passenger survey and recognise excellence across the global aviation industry. The awards are determined by the votes of travellers from around the world and are widely regarded as a benchmark for airline and airport customer experience.

At present, 21 Star Alliance member airlines serve Paris: Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air India, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, avianca, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, EGYPTAIR, Ethiopian Airlines, EVA Air, ITA Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, SWISS, THAI, Turkish Airlines, and United Airlines. Together, they operate more than 800 weekly flights to over 30 destinations across more than 20 countries.
