Unbelievable! Team Hemant Jalan and other top contenders smash their way to seniors bridge semi-finals — scores will shock you!

Kolkata/IBNS: Teams Hemant Jalan, S D Associates, Easy Bridge, and COGITO advanced to the semi-finals of the Seniors Team Event (above 60 years) at the 67th Ashok Ruia Memorial Winter National Bridge Championship, held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, New Town.

In the quarter-finals, Team Hemant Jalan, featuring all international players, narrowly defeated Shree Cement 83–76 IMPs, while Easy Bridge dominated Team Dr S. S M, 114–40 IMPs. COGITO edged Team Juthika 63–49 IMPs, and S D Associates overwhelmed USBC, 124.5–39 IMPs.

In the semi-finals, Team Hemant Jalan will face an upcoming opponent, while S D Associates will play Easy Bridge against COGITO.

Meanwhile, the mixed pairs event of the championship commenced today, with 26 of 55 pairs set to qualify for the final round tomorrow, alongside the Seniors Team Event title clash.
