Paes, Bopanna reach second round of French Open

Paris, May 31 (IBNS): Indian-American pairing of Leander Paes and Scott Lipsky reached the second round of the men’s doubles at the French Open on Wednesday by beating Moldovan-Korean combine of Radu Albot and Hyeon Chung.

The Indian-American pair defeated their opponents 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-2.

The match lasted for  one hour and 55 minutes.

They will now meet Spanish pairing of Tommy Robredo and David Marrero in the next round clash.

Indo-Uruguayan combine of Rohan Bopanna and Pablo Cuevas moved to the second round of the tournament by beating French pair of Mathias Bourgue and Paul-Henri Mathieu  6-1, 6-1.
