Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah wins toss, opt to bat first against Australia in Perth Test

India opted to bat first against Australia after winning the toss in the first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Friday.

Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy made their debut for the national team.

Australia decided to give Nathan McSweeney his debut baggy green cap.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah is leading the Indian team in the absence of Rohit Sharma.

India went to Australia after being defeated in the home Test series against New Zealand.

Two teams are given below:

India Playing XI: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (w), Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah (c), Mohammed Siraj.
