New Delhi, Jan 17 (IBNS): Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday slammed critics of actress Zaira Wasim and said callign her for 'unislamic' for acting in Dangal or meeting Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti is 'naked suppression'.

"Calling @zairawasim "unislamic" for acting in Dangal or meeting @MehboobaMufti is naked suppression. Ashamed dat she had 2 apologise," Gambhir tweeted.

He said: "To me whole @zairawasim episode smells of sexual bias. Can someone say d same thing 2 @aamir_khan @BeingSalmanKhan @iamsrk?."

"Men will be men. Insecure 2 see a girl like @zairawasim get wings. Sadly we think "Maahri Choriyan AAJ B Choron se kum hain." @aamir_khan," he said.

Zaira faced trolls on social networking site after she met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

Zaira apologised for the meeting, shocking the nation for the move.

She later removed her post from Facebook.

Zaira is known for her performance in 2016 hit movie 'Dangal'.
