Asian Games: Saurav Ghosal settle for bronze

Jakarta, Aug 25 (IBNS):  Saurav Ghosal settled for bronze medal after he lost his semi-final clash of the Asian Games Squash men's singles event here on Saturday.

The Indian player was defeated  12-10 13-11 6-11 6-11 6-11 by Chun Ming Au from Hong Kong.

Ghosal took an early lead and kept the pressure on his opponent in all the sets but ultimately surrendered in the final round of the clash.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated Ghosal for his medal and tweeted: "It’s a wonderful day for Indian squash. The country is immensely proud of young Saurav Ghosal, who brings home a Bronze in the men’s singles squash event. His hardwork and diligence is commendable."
