Asian Games: India wins shooting gold as Kamaljeet-Suruchi Singh strike in 10m air rifle mixed team event
India's Asian Games campaign began on a positive note on Friday as Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh won gold in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.
The Indian pair secured the top spot with a commanding score of 484.6 points, earning the country's second gold medal of the Games.
India also added a silver medal in shooting, with Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Niraj Kumar and Rudrankksh Patil finishing runners-up in the men's 50m air rifle 3 positions event.
The gold marked India's first medal of the ongoing Asian Games in shooting.
Earlier, India's women's cricket team had won gold, giving the country its first gold medal of the Games.
South Korea won the silver medal, while Iran took bronze in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.
