Yami Guatam excited to vist her college in Chandigarh
Mumbai, Jan 23 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Yami Gautam, who was born and brought up in Chandigarh, recently received an invitation from the college she studied at in the city.
A source close to the actor says, “Her college is very proud of how she has made a mark in the industry on her own, despite being an outsider. The teachers there recently contacted Yami to visit the college again.”
The source adds that the students from the institution are keen on talking to Yami about her journey — from the time she moved to Mumbai to act to when she made her debut with Vicky Donor (2012), for which she even bagged several awards, and so on.
“Yami’s journey in Bollywood has been inspiring, and that’s why the college teachers have requested her to share her experiences. They felt that since she’s already promoting her film in various cities, she could pay a quick visit to her hometown too,” says the source.
When contacted, Yami says, “It is always fun, and an emotional experience, to go back and promote your film in your hometown. I am very excited, and really looking forward to visiting Chandigarh.”
