Varanasi witnesses Deepika and Irrfan Shoot for 'Piku'

Mumbai, Dec 20 (IBNS): Actors Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan were recently spotted in Chet Singh Ghat in Varanasi while shooting for Shoojit Sircar's upcoming comedy drama 'Piku'.
Amidst tight security, the cast begun shooting last Wednesday evening on the ghats of Varanasi.

The news soon spread and several fans of the two stars rushed to the adjoining ghat to catch the glimpses of the shoot.

Bollywood’s dimpled-beauty Deepika was spotted in a red and black shawl. She was seen sitting on the stairs of the ghat, engaged in a conversation with Irrfan Khan, for a particular scene in the movie.

The cast and crew of ‘Piku’ bravely took charge of the shoot in the chilly weather of Varanasi.

The crew had some interesting moments as some enthusiastic onlookers sang Bhojpuri songs to get the attention of the stars from a boat on the other end of the Ganges river.

The local police ensured a smooth shoot for the cast and crew by making rounds of the river with their hooters, to keep onlookers in check.

Deepika and Irrfan looked particularly impressed with the beauty and serenity of the ghats, and were seen obliging fans by clicking pictures with them.
