The satirical comedy also stars Ali Zafar in a special role, as he returns to the franchise that marked his big Bollywood debut. Phantom Films will be distributing the film worldwide.

Producer Pooja Shetty Deora said, “Tere Bin Laden is a very special film for us and we are happy to announce the release of its sequel - Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive on Feb 19th, 2016. It is difficult to imagine a sequel of this franchise because of the nature of the original, but Abhishek Sharma's imagination will make this an enjoyable ride”.

Talking about the film, director Abhishek Sharma said, “Tere Bin Laden – Dead or Alive will be one of the most original sequels. It is a first of its kind sequel as the story of the first film and the second are linked but not in continuity. The structure of the film is such that you cannot call it a conventional sequel.
