Shahid Kapoor marries Mira Rajput

Mumbai, July 7 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who is known for his performance in films like 'Jab We Met', married Delhi girl Mira Rajput on Tuesday.

The marriage ceremony was held in Delhi.

According to reports, close friends and family members attended the  marriage.

Shahid started his career by working in music videos and advertisements and made his Bollywood debut with 'Ishq Vishk' in 2003. The film won him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance.

He followed it with films like 'Fida' (2004), 'Shikhar' (2005) and had his first major commercial success with Sooraj R. Barjatya's 'Vivah' (2006).

He earned nominations for the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performances in 'Jab We Met' (2007) and 'Kaminey' (2009).

After a series of unsuccessful attempts, the actor performed well with his few last recent films like  'Phata Poster Nikla Hero', 'R... Rajkumar', and 'Haidar'.
