Robert Downey Jr approves new Iron Man Riri Williams

Los Angeles, July 11 (IBNS) Marvel has revealed that 15-year-old science genius Riri Williams will replace Tony Stark as the Iron Man, a decision even appreciated by actor Robert Downey Jr.

The events at the end of the comic-book event series Civil War IIwill result in Tony Stark stepping out of the Iron Man suit and a new character, Riri Williams, taking over, Marvel told TIME.

The characters, who will be shown as a science genius, build her own Iron Man suit.

Meanwhile, superstar Robert Downey Jr, who is known for playing the onscreen version of Iron Man in the film franchise, welcomed the move where the character of Riri Williams will replace Tony in the comic version.

The actor tweeted: "Get ready for a new generation of Marvel BAMF."
