Mumbai, Aug 26 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has praised actress Rani Mukherjee for her performance in her latest released movie 'Mardaani'.

"Saw Mardaani yesterday! Must watch, it can happen to anyone! Rani is superb. And so is the new actor who plays the villain, Tahir Raj Bhasin," Khan tweeted.

Directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film hit the silver screen on Aug 22.

The film tells the story of a female cop whose interest in the case of a kidnapped teenage girl leads her to uncover secrets of human trafficking by the Indian mafia.

Rani plays the character of a police officer in the film.
