Randeep Hooda learns the basics of painting for Rang Rasiya

Mumbai, Oct 15 (IBNS): In Bollywood today, a number of actors attempt to learn the basics of their character to portray it on the big screen with perfection. Actor Randeep Hooda did just that in his latest film 'Rang Rasiya' which is based on the life of 19th century legendary Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma and his paintings.

To prepare for the role as Raja Ravi Varma, it was essential for Randeep to understand the basics of the art so as to be able to portray the painter accurately. In order to do so the actor learnt the fundamentals of painting as he wanted to do justice to the character by learning the art that formed the crux of his personality.

Randeep Hooda has always been a perfectionist and hence he chose to learn the vital aspects of painting to convincingly depict the legendary painter. The movie depicts Raja Ravi Varma’s life, his art, his inspiration, his muse, thoughts, how he stood up for what he believed in and his struggle to prove himself right. His paintings were his life and made him stand apart among men and women of that age. Thus it was crucial to the film the Randeep should be able to paint and replicate the nuances of the master painter. The actor is excited about the film’s and hopes his hard work translates well on screen.

A story complete with passion, ambition, persistence, lust and tragedy, ‘Rang Rasiya’ pitches itself be an absolute entertainer. Presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen), Rang Rasiya is directed by Ketan Mehta, produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. ‘Rang Rasiya’ is set to release on November 7, 2014.
